The Vilhelm Lauritzen airport terminal in Copenhagen Airport was build in 1937-1939 and is one of the most prominent examples of Nordic functionalism. Notice the waved ceiling!
In 1960 it was replaced by the current Terminal 2 (also Vilhelm Lauritzen) and in 1999 the entire building was moved 3,8 km to a new location, where it serves as welcoming hall for royals and VIPs.

Sandborn Maps produced thousands of detailed “insurance maps” of urban areas and cities across the US in late 1800′s and early 1900′s. The title pages of these are exceptional pieces of typographic and graphic art. Rumour says that far most of these unbelievably detailed artworks were drawn by one man, but i haven’t been able to dig any further into this.
Nevertheless these gems are some of the most inspiring i have ever come upon. I hope more will emerge from the city libraries across the US, i just can’t get enough!

You know i like a good timelapse, and these, apparently part of a trilogy, are some of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen! The best sequences are, in my opinion, the ones where the fantastic landscapes of nature are interrupted by man-made structures. Great photography and great locations.
Can’t wait to see the third …!

A lot of very good art direction, mostly using simple geometric shapes in a nice and tight color scheme. I like it!

These guys have really created a very evocative atmosphere in these EF “Live the language”-series, of which Vancouver, LA and Sydney are the latest and most impressive IMO. The muted subtlety combined with some fine typography is quite effective. Great work.
